I was a little reserved to write a review about a place I haven't visited yet, but the lack of info in English convinced me. So, whether you like it or not, this is your most reliable online English source about Bistrita County, provided by a guy who hasn't seen it in 33 years, but has done a very thorough research! I just hope by the end of this reading, you will wish to travel to Bistrita as much as I do right now!

Former European cultural capital, Sibiu should be a top priority for any tourist planning a trip to Romania! It is the living proof of Transylvania's medieval architecture, and in the same time is a vibrant, modern city, proudly carrying its German heritage. Without a doubt, Sibiu is comparable with any other landmark in Europe, being listed as the 8th most idyllic place in the world by Forbes Magazine. As for me, 2017 is already the fifth consecutive year I travel to Sibiu, so I kind of have a good back-up when I say this: it is definitely among the best cities to visit in Europe!
